A pesar de que el sarampión fue erradicado en el 2000, en este momento Estados Unidos está pasando por un preocupante brote de esta enfermedad. Y aunque la mayoría de los afectados son niños no vacunados por decisión de sus padres y/o adultos que voluntariamente no se han vacunado, aparentemente esto también podría afectar a algunos adultos que si fueron vacunados de niños y podrían estar en riesgo.
