El gobierno de los Estados Unidos le pagará a Moderna Inc. hasta $1.525 billones para asegurar 100 millones de vacunas de COVID-19 de acuerdo al anuncio que hicieron el U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) y el Department of Defense (DoD). El HHS informó que Moderna fabricará las dosis de la vacuna al mismo tiempo que se llevan a cabo los ensayos clínicos para así acelerar el desarrollo de las vacunas y poder distribuirlas al público lo mas pronto posible.
