Eleven80Cafe opened at 2109 S Dale Mabry two weeks ago. It's earned a perfect five-star rating on Google reviews. This family-owned spot dishes out Latin-inspired breakfast and lunch from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday through Monday.
The cooks fry empanadas in beef tallow. This method brings out richer flavors, according to the owners, per That's So Tampa.com.
Food photos and videos have spread across social media. You'll find empanadas, sandwiches, and breakfast platters on the menu.
Empanada choices run from sweet guava to Ropa Vieja and Chicken Verde. The Italian Beef Empanada puts a Latin twist on the midwestern classic — thinly sliced, slow-cooked Italian beef meets giardiniera for a kick of spice.
The Vegetariano sandwich has won over guests. It's stacked with black beans, avocado, eggs, cheese, and sweet plantains. Traditional breakfast items are there too, including bacon and eggs, build-your-own omelets, and eggs and hash.
The spot sits right on Dale Mabry, making it an easy morning stop for commuters. Hours are 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. six days a week. The cafe is closed on Tuesday.
