Closures Around Tampa Bay Because Of Elsa

How is Tropical Storm Elsa affecting us in the Tampa Bay area? Here are some closures and cancellations you may need to know about.

At Tampa International Airport commercial operations will be suspended beginning today (Tuesday) at 5 P.M. and air cargo will suspend operations at 10 P.M. Operations will start up again at 10 A.M. on Wednesday morning.

The Tampa Bay Rays will not play tonight. Their game against the Indians will be postponed until tomorrow. They’ll play a double header.

Looking at some school districts in our Tampa Bay area…(affects students and faculty who are a part of summer school programs).

Citrus Schools
Parents will be informed by phone and text if or when classes will be canceled.

Hernando Schools
Hernando Schools will be open on Tuesday. They are still making a decision about Wednesday.

Hillsborough Schools
Hillsborough County Schools will close at 1 P.M. on Tuesday and will reopen July 8.

Manatee County
Schools were already closed because summer school is not in session this week.

Pasco County Schools
Pasco County Schools will close at 3 P.M. on Tuesday and will reopen July 8.

Pinellas County Schools
Pinellas County Schools will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Sarasota County Schools
Schools and district offices are closed for the whole week.
